Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne to share his food story as a Headliner in the April 27th show at Juban's Creole Restaurant - Baton Rouge. He was elected Lieutenant Governor of the State of Louisiana in November 2010 with 57% of the vote, filling the remaining year on an unexpired term. He previously served four years as Secretary of State and fifteen year in the State Senate. During his legislative service, he chaired the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate and Governmnetal Affairs Committee. In 2003, he was named National Repulican Legislator of the year. He is an active community volunteer, having hosted the Jerry Lewis Telethon for hte Muscular Dystrophy Association for more than 25 years. He conducts a presentation entitled "Why Louisiana Ain't Mississippi" a lively and colorful look at Louisiana's culture, demography, history, music and politics. He is an attorney and graduate of Baton Rouge High School, Louisiana State University, and LSU Law School He is married to former Cathy McDonald. They have two grown sons, John and Michael.
