Baton Rouge originated "Meanwhile, Back At Café Du Monde…", the unique and festive food monologue show, celebrates the one-year anniversary at Juban’s Creole Restaurant, 3739 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge on Thursday, May 12. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m. Red Carpet arrivals and interviews will begin at 5:45 p.m. The event is produced by Superstar Events-LA.
Humorous, spontaneous and unscripted, the heartfelt & humorous stories all have the common thread of food – our culture and relationships, personal life stories, restaurant experiences, past love affairs and more. “We are very excited to celebrate our one year anniversary here in Baton Rouge where the show began. In one year, the show has been in three states – Louisiana, California and Mississippi with 29 shows and over 200 personal food stories told by chefs, restaurant owners, actors, writers, musicians, TV and radio personalities, The Food Network stars, politicians (including Lieutenant Governor, Jay Dardenne, at the April 27th show at Jubans) and more. It’s a little bit of theatre, but a lot about cuisine.” Headliners sharing their food stories are as follows:
Returning and popular Emcee is Scott Rogers, Television Personality and Host of the Around Town Show. Over the past year, “Meanwhile, Back at Café Du Monde” has become a popular entertainment and food experience audiences in Louisiana, Mississippi, as well as in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California receiving “thumbs up” and standing ovations. A TV pilot has been shot based on the show and a coffee table book is in the works. Baton Rouge has embraced the show and we are so excited to be back where it all started! |
